The Chuck E. Cheese located on the corner on Harlem Road and Sheridan Drive in Amherst will remain open after the Town of Amherst Board met last night to discuss the future of the business.

After two major incidents, this year at the business including a multiple person brawl that was captured on video and went viral, the Chuck E. Cheese in Amherst will remain open will new security procedures in place.

After meeting with the Town of Amherst Board yesterday, officials with the company stated that there are new procedures in place at the business.

* Armed security guards will now be on-site seven days a week

* More cameras have been installed to monitor. They are more visible as well, to make sure patrons know they are being recorded.

* The maximum birthday capacity will drop from 194 guests to 75 guests.

* Rules of conduct will also be posted on all napkin holders

Officials also stated that more than half the staff has been replaced and have gotten conflict resolution training.
